experimenting with the low light conditions in this perfectly non-descript holiday inn type place with the tokina 11-16mm. in reviewing my test shots, something kept bringing me back to the framing of my plugged in child echoing and oblivious to the black and white desert photography on the wall.
Ok. I really love this piece for several reasons. let me begin. First off, the lighting I think is fantastic, you really got soft tones on the child which make him realistic looking (sometimes, people over do it with light on kids and they look mock). I love the contrasting black and white, especially the real dark black of the frame of the picture. However, I think the zebra stripe pillow got a tad washed out with lighting and would be a little more striking if darker. I love the fact the picture nearly looks like a window to a beautiful day and yet the kid is inside playing the gameboy DS, and to reiterate that, the childs toy is on the bed just begging to be played with. Seriously I love this piece.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
