Today I photographed a family of three in their house. The word "house" is used lightly. It was kind of a palace type thing offering abundant places of interest to pose them. I used their all-white parlor with a black grand piano and the spiral staircase mainly. I was pretty happy with the results which was lucky because I realized that the reason I was struggling with focus and light was because I had left the polarizer on my 70-200mm from a shoot I did a couple weeks ago and didn't realize it until I was putting the camera away. No wonder the stairway shots were so warm. Oh well. It isn't the first time that has happened to me. Fortunately the d3s lets me get away with low light situations.  The pre-storm light was coming through the windows, providing me with dramatic non-flash pics. I was pretty happy. Hope she was, too, though haven't heard back yet.
